"When I spoke to people about living in New Orleans, I always said it wasn't the architecture, the food, the weather or whatever....it was the people who made the place so unique.
And Syndey was for me a critical part of that culture....warm, inviting, and super-talented with her highly observant eye.
(I am the proud owner of a lovely image of hers from Haiti.)
She was ever present at all the musical and cultural events in N.O. faithfully recording the atmosphere and spirit of the moment.
And on those occasions where we both were shooting, I'd always sneak a look to see what she was shooting, very often moments I had never noticed.
Like she is as a person, her work is beautiful!"
